U probavnom sustavu, to\u010dnije u crijevima, \u017eive milijarde bakterija. Mnoge od tih bakterija potrebne su i vrlo korisne, a nazivaju se probiotici.&nbsp;One sudjeluju u vrlo va\u017enoj, zadnjoj fazi probave, \u0161tite tijelo od patogenih mikroorganizama na na\u010din da svojim metabolizmom stvaraju nepovoljne uvjete za njihov rast, uklju\u010dene su u sintezu nekih vitamina skupine B te vitamina K i va\u017ene su za normalnu funkciju obrambenog sustava. Osim dobrih bakterija, u crijevima se nalaze i one koje su \u0161tetne. Upravo ravnote\u017ea dobrih i lo\u0161ih bakterija odre\u0111uje kako \u0107e funkcionirati probavni sustav \u0161to se u kona\u010dnici odra\u017eava na cjelokupno zdravlje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Postoje mnogobrojni \u010dimbenici koji mogu naru\u0161iti tu ravnote\u017eu, poput stresa, nepravilne i neuravnote\u017eene prehrane, psihofizi\u010dke iscrpljenosti, kroni\u010dnih bolesti i povi\u0161ene tjelesne temperature, a va\u017eno je spomenuti i uporabu lijekova, posebno antibiotika. Posljedica je naru\u0161ene ravnote\u017ee porast broja \u201elo\u0161ih\u201c bakterija \u0161to nerijetko dovodi do pojave raznih zdravstvenih tegoba me\u0111u kojima su proljev, opstipacija, nadutost, nedostatak va\u017enih vitamina i minerala zbog ograni\u010dene apsorpcije iz crijeva, ali i smanjenje funkcije obrambenog sustava. Aktiviraju se upalni procesi, naru\u0161ava se integritet crijevne sluznice te ona postaje propusna za \u0161tetne tvari i naru\u0161ava se metabolizam. Drugim rije\u010dima, crijevna mikroflora podlo\u017ena je promjenama i potrebno ju je redovito obnavljati. <strong>Od velike su pomo\u0107i prebiotici \u2013 hrana za dobre bakterije.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prebiotici su neprobavljivi sastojci hrane koji poti\u010du rast i aktivnost korisnih mikroorganizama u crijevima. Prebiotici su uglavnom vlakna i oligosaharidi, slo\u017eeni ugljikohidrati koje na\u0161e tijelo ne mo\u017ee probaviti. Oni prolaze kroz tanko crijevo neprobavljeni i sti\u017eu do debelog crijeva, gdje ih fermentiraju korisne bakterije.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prebiotici su skupina hranjivih tvari koje razgra\u0111uje crijevna mikrobiota. Njihov odnos s cjelokupnim ljudskim zdravljem posljednjih je godina podru\u010dje sve ve\u0107eg interesa. Oni mogu hraniti crijevnu mikrobiotu, a njihovi produkti razgradnje su kratkolan\u010dane masne kiseline koje se otpu\u0161taju u krvotok, posljedi\u010dno zahva\u0107aju\u0107i ne samo gastrointestinalni trakt ve\u0107 i druge udaljene organe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iako neki endogeni \u010dimbenici, poput izlu\u010divanja mucina, mogu utjecati na ravnote\u017eu mikroba, <strong>ljudska prehrana je glavni izvor energije za njihov rast<\/strong>. Konkretno, neprobavljivi ugljikohidrati mogu jako modificirati sastav i funkciju crijevne mikrobiote. Korisni crijevni mikrobi fermentiraju ove neprobavljive prehrambene tvari koje se nazivaju prebiotici i dobivaju energiju za pre\u017eivljavanje razgradnjom neprobavljivih veza prebiotika. Kao rezultat toga, prebiotici mogu selektivno utjecati na crijevnu mikrobiotu. S druge strane, crijevna mikrobiota utje\u010de na crijevne funkcije, poput metabolizma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Koncept prebiotika prvi su put predstavili Glenn Gibson i Marcel Roberfroid 1995. godine. Prebiotik je opisan kao \u201eneprobavljiv sastojak hrane koji blagotvorno utje\u010de na doma\u0107ina selektivnim stimuliranjem rasta i\/ili aktivnosti jedne ili ograni\u010denog broja bakterija u debelom crijevu, te tako pobolj\u0161ava zdravlje doma\u0107ina\u201c. Ova definicija bila je gotovo nepromijenjena vi\u0161e od 15 godina. Prema ovoj definiciji, samo nekoliko spojeva iz skupine ugljikohidrata, kao \u0161to su kratki i dugi lanci \u03b2-fruktana (fruktooligosaharidi i inulin), laktuloza i galaktooligosaharidi, mogu se klasificirati kao prebiotici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zatim je 2008. godine, 6. sastanak Me\u0111unarodne znanstvene udruge probiotika i prebiotika (ISAPP) definirao \u201eprebiotike u prehrani\u201c kao \u201eselektivno fermentirani sastojak koji rezultira specifi\u010dnim promjenama u sastavu i\/ili aktivnosti gastrointestinalne mikrobiote, \u010dime se daje korist(i) zdravlju doma\u0107ina\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mehanizmi djelovanja prebiotika<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Osiguravaju\u0107i izvore energije za crijevnu mikrobiotu, prebiotici mogu modulirati sastav i funkciju tih mikroorganizama. Proizvodi razgradnje prebiotika uglavnom su SCFA (kratkolan\u010dane masne kiseline). Te su molekule dovoljno male da difundiraju kroz crijevne enterocite i u\u0111u u krvotok. Stoga prebiotici mogu utjecati ne samo na gastrointestinalni trakt, ve\u0107 i na druge udaljene organe i sustave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fermentacijom prebiotika, korisne bakterije proizvode kratkolan\u010dane masne kiseline (SCFA), poput butirata, acetata i propionata. Ove masne kiseline imaju brojne pozitivne u\u010dinke na zdravlje:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pobolj\u0161avaju probavu<\/strong>: SCFA poti\u010du peristaltiku crijeva, poma\u017eu u regulaciji probave i sprje\u010davaju zatvor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ja\u010daju imunitet<\/strong>: SCFA ja\u010daju crijevnu barijeru i poti\u010du proizvodnju imunolo\u0161kih stanica.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Smanjuju upalu<\/strong>: SCFA imaju protuupalna svojstva i mogu pomo\u0107i u smanjenju rizika od kroni\u010dnih bolesti.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pobolj\u0161avaju apsorpciju minerala<\/strong>: SCFA poti\u010du apsorpciju kalcija, magnezija i drugih minerala.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reguliraju razinu \u0161e\u0107era u krvi<\/strong>: SCFA mogu pomo\u0107i u pobolj\u0161anju osjetljivosti na inzulin i regulaciji razine \u0161e\u0107era u krvi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Izvori prebiotika<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prebiotike mo\u017eemo prona\u0107i u raznim namirnicama, uklju\u010duju\u0107i:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Vo\u0107e i povr\u0107e<\/strong>: luk, \u010de\u0161njak, poriluk, arti\u010doke, banane, jabuke.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cjelovite \u017eitarice<\/strong>: zob, je\u010dam, ra\u017e.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mahunarke<\/strong>: grah, le\u0107a, slanutak.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Korijen cikorije<\/strong>: bogat inulinom, vrstom prebiotika.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Med<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Va\u017enost prebiotika za zdravlje<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Redovita konzumacija prebiotika klju\u010dna je za odr\u017eavanje zdrave crijevne mikroflore i op\u0107eg zdravlja.
