Uporaba postbiotikov velja za najbolj inovativen, multidisciplinaren biotehnolo\u0161ki pristop. \u0160tevilo izsledkov raziskav in patentov vsako leto nara\u0161\u010da. Po podatkih portala PubMed je bilo leta 2023 objavljenih pribli\u017eno 250 raziskav s podro\u010dja postbiotikov, v za\u010detku leta 2024 pa \u0161e pribli\u017eno 74. Hkrati se je mo\u010dno razvil tudi globalni trg postbiotikov (1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Za nekatere se postbiotiki morda zdijo novost, vendar jih na Japonskem uporabljajo \u017ee ve\u010d kot stoletje, in sicer se prodajajo kot prehranska dopolnila ter dodajajo \u017eivilom in pija\u010dam, kot so sokovi, me\u0161anice za pala\u010dinke, juhe, sladoled in pokovka (2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kaj so postbiotiki in kako delujejo?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bbDobre\u00ab \u010drevesne bakterije si zelo prizadevajo, da bi ohranile na\u0161e zdravje. Eden od pomembnih na\u010dinov, kako to po\u010dnejo, je, da proizvajajo zdravju koristne spojine, kot so kratkoveri\u017ene ma\u0161\u010dobne kisline, vitamini B, encimi in aminokisline, ki jim pravimo postbiotiki (3). Vse te spojine pozitivno vplivajo na zdravje. Aminokisline so gradniki beljakovin, vitamini skupine B pa pripomorejo k ve\u010dji energiji in podpirajo vse od zdravja mo\u017eganov do delovanja imunskega sistema in prebave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Po uradni opredelitvi Mednarodnega znanstvenega zdru\u017eenja za probiotike in prebiotike so postbiotiki \u00bbpripravki iz ne\u017eivih mikroorganizmov in\/ali njihovih sestavnih delov, ki gostitelju prina\u0161ajo koristi za zdravje\u00ab (4).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V nasprotju s probiotiki (\u00bbdobrimi\u00ab bakterijami), ki so \u017eivi, so torej postbiotiki ne\u017eivi. Toda to \u0161e ne pomeni, da ne morejo vplivati na zdravje. Primerjamo jih lahko z nekaterimi cepivi, ki vsebujejo ne\u017eive viruse, vendar kljub temu vplivajo na imunski sistem in zagotavljajo za\u0161\u010dito pred oku\u017ebo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preprosto povedano, postbiotiki so stranski proizvodi prebavnega procesa v \u010drevesju. Probiotike si lahko predstavljamo kot \u00bbdobre\u00ab bakterije v \u010drevesju, prebiotike pa kot njihovo \u00bbhrano\u00ab (ve\u010dinoma vlaknine). Ko probiotiki \u00bbpojedo\u00ab prebiotike, nastanejo postbiotiki. To so bioaktivne spojine, ki telesu zagotavljajo razli\u010dne koristi za zdravje (5).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Povezujejo jih s \u0161tevilnimi koristmi za \u010drevesje, imunski sistem in druge vidike zdravja. To pa zato, ker je <strong>veliko koristi za zdravje, povezanih s prebiotiki in probiotiki, dejansko posledica proizvodnje postbiotikov.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ker so lahko opredelitve v\u010dasih nejasne, je tu kratek opis vsake od vrst:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. <\/strong><strong>Probiotiki<\/strong> so \u00bbdobre\u00ab ali \u00bbprijazne\u00ab bakterije v \u010drevesju, ki podpirajo zdravje s pretvarjanjem vlaknin v zdravju koristne spojine (6).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. <\/strong><strong>Prebiotiki<\/strong> so skupina hranil, ve\u010dinoma vlaknin, ki so hrana za koristne bakterije v \u010drevesju (7).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. <\/strong><strong>Postbiotiki<\/strong> so bioaktivne spojine, ki jih probioti\u010dne bakterije proizvedejo, ko konzumirajo prebiotike (vlaknine).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Raznolikost <\/strong><strong>postbiotikov<\/strong><strong>: kaj vse vklju\u010dujejo?<\/strong> (5,9)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Postbiotiki niso ena sama snov, temve\u010d raznolika skupina spojin, ki vklju\u010duje:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. <\/strong><strong>Kratkoveri\u017ene<\/strong><strong> ma\u0161\u010dobne kisline (SCFA)<\/strong>: butirati, acetati, propionati \u2013 pomembne za zdravje \u010drevesne sluznice, imunomodulacijo in presnovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. <\/strong><strong>Lipopolisaharidi<\/strong><strong> (LPS)<\/strong>: v majhnih koli\u010dinah imajo lahko imunostimulatorni u\u010dinek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. <\/strong><strong>Eksopolisaharidi<\/strong>: polisaharidi, ki jih proizvajajo bakterije in imajo potencialne prebioti\u010dne in imunomodulatorne lastnosti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. Encimi<\/strong>: omogo\u010dajo razgradnjo hrane in spro\u0161\u010danje hranilnih snovi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. Bakterijski lizati<\/strong>: me\u0161anice sestavin bakterij z mogo\u010dimi imunomodulatornimi u\u010dinki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. <\/strong><strong>Supernatanti<\/strong><strong> brez celic<\/strong>: me\u0161anice spojin, ki jih proizvajajo bakterije, vklju\u010dno s presnovki, vitamini in aminokislinami.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mehanizem delovanja <\/strong><strong>postbiotikov<\/strong><strong>: kako vplivajo na zdravje?<\/strong> (3)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Po letu 2020 so se raziskave o koristih postbiotikov za zdravje zelo razmahnile (4). Najbolj prepri\u010dljivi podatki ka\u017eejo na sposobnost postbiotikov, da izbolj\u0161ajo imunsko in prebavno zdravje. Natan\u010dneje, dokazano je, da postbiotiki spodbujajo zorenje imunskega sistema in podpirajo \u010drevesno pregrado, s \u010dimer patogenom prepre\u010dujejo vstop v krvni obtok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Postbiotiki delujejo na razli\u010dne na\u010dine, med katerimi so:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. Krepitev \u010drevesne pregrade<\/strong>: SCFA-ji, kot so butirati, hranijo celice \u010drevesne sluznice (kolonocite) in krepijo njihove celi\u010dne povezave, kar prepre\u010duje vstop \u0161kodljivih snovi v krvni obtok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. <\/strong><strong>Imunomodulacija<\/strong>: postbiotiki lahko vplivajo na delovanje imunskih celic v \u010drevesju in zunaj njega ter tako modulirajo vnetne odzive in krepijo za\u0161\u010dito pred patogeni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. Protivnetno delovanje<\/strong>: postbiotiki lahko ubla\u017eijo vnetja v \u010drevesju in po vsem telesu, kar je pomembno za prepre\u010devanje kroni\u010dnih bolezni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. Metaboli\u010dni u\u010dinki<\/strong>: SCFA-ji vplivajo na presnovo lipidov, ogljikovih hidratov in energije, kar je lahko koristno za uravnavanje telesne te\u017ee in presnovo glukoze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. Prispevek k zdravju mo\u017eganov<\/strong>: raziskave ka\u017eejo na povezavo med \u010drevesnim mikrobiomom in zdravjem mo\u017eganov (\u010drevesno-mo\u017eganska os), postbiotiki pa utegnejo imeti pomembno vlogo v tem zapletenem odnosu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Potencialne zdravstvene koristi <\/strong><strong>postbiotikov<\/strong><strong>: kaj pravijo raziskave?<\/strong> (8)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u010ceprav se raziskave o postbiotikih \u0161e izvajajo, prvi rezultati ka\u017eejo na mogo\u010de koristi pri teh stanjih:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. Vnetna \u010drevesna bolezen<\/strong> (IBD): postbiotiki, zlasti SCFA-ji, lahko pomagajo pri zmanj\u0161evanju vnetij in izbolj\u0161anju simptomov pri osebah s Crohnovo boleznijo in ulceroznim kolitisom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. Sindrom razdra\u017eljivega \u010drevesja (IBS)<\/strong>: postbiotiki lahko olaj\u0161ajo simptome, kot so napenjanje, bole\u010dine v trebuhu in motnje iztrebljanja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>. Driska<\/strong>: postbiotiki lahko skraj\u0161ajo trajanje driske, vklju\u010dno z drisko, ki jo povzro\u010di jemanje antibiotikov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>.
